Leads the Research Group on “Global Health, Evidence, Lifestyles, and Health” and serves as President of the Spanish Network of Health-Promoting Universities. Published over 65 JCR articles, 1 patent, and presented over 120 contributions to national and international conferences. Directed eleven doctoral theses.

Director of “APPrAd” research group at UV, studying new drug consumption patterns and psychosocial determinants. Designs assessment tools, conducts cross-cultural studies, and develops prosocial programs for youth and families. Also serves as a committee member for drug prevention and Vice President of SOCIDROGALCOHOL.

Regina Dalmau

Hospital Universitario la Paz de Madrid

She is a member of the Clinical Commission for Tobacco Control in her hospital, which belongs to the Smoke-Free Hospitals Network. She is the Representative of the Spanish Society of Cardiology in the CNPT and former president between 2015 and 2019. She is a member of the tobacco expert group of the World Heart Federation. In her clinical activity, she has devoted great dedication to the treatment of tobacco addiction in patients with heart disease.

She has a degree in Dentistry and a postgraduate in Periodontology from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Valencia, where she is an Associate Professor of Periodontology. She is a Specialist Full Member of the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration (SEPA) and member of director’s board.

Cristina Macía

She specializes in Rheumatology, currently working at Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid since 2013. Obtained a Master’s in Spondyloarthritis from Universidad Europea de Madrid in 2016 and a PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2021 with a thesis on “New contributions of ultrasound in the study of paratenonitis, enthesitis and synovitis in psoriatic arthritis”. Member of the international GRAPPA group, European teacher in musculoskeletal ultrasound, and treasurer of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology.

Rafael Maldonado

Dr. Maldonado is a renowned pharmacology professor and founder of the Laboratory of Neuropharmacology at Pompeu Fabra University. He researches the neurochemical basis of drug dependence and affective disorders, publishing over 380 scientific articles in international journals and securing research grants for 25 years.

Beatriz Martín

General Director of the Fad Juventud Foundation since 2018. Previously called the Drug Addiction Help Foundation, it is a Foundation dedicated to improving the well-being and quality of life of young people focused on sociological research on youth, awareness campaigns and in programs for: prevention (consumption, addictions, violence and other psychosocial risks), training for digital citizenship and employment, development of life skills, both in Spain and in Latin America.

Yoana Monzonís

As an expert in drug addiction prevention with a degree from UIB, she is currently the President of the Socidrogalcohol in the Valencian Community. Additionally, she serves as the Technical Manager of the Community Prevention Unit for Addictive Behaviors at the City Council of La Vall d’Uixó in Castellón. In this position, she is responsible for coordinating, advising, and implementing actions related to drug addiction prevention and other forms of addiction in the municipality.

Eduardo Olano

He completed a Master’s degree in Smoking Cessation from the University of Cantabria, and has been a program manager and coordinator for multiple research projects focused on smoking cessation interventions. He has worked with various medical associations, including the Society of Family and Community Medicine of Madrid, and the Cardiovascular Risk Research Group.

Belén Pardo is a teacher and social educator, specialized in addiction prevention and intervention, with extensive experience in the social field. She has been working for the Foundation for 15 years, where she has dedicated herself primarily to prevention, carrying out excellent work.

Francisco Salvador Pascual

Dr. Salvador Pascual is a distinguished medical professional, serving on the Permanent Committee of the Scientific Council at the Official College of Physicians of Alicante. He is also an esteemed member of the editorial board for the ARC Journal of Addiction and a member of the group on rational opioid use. Dr. Pascual has been appointed an honorary member of the Drug Addiction Chair at the University of Guantanamo and serves on the evaluation committee for continuous training in Valencia.

Susana Redondo

Dr. Susana Redondo is a specialist in preventive medicine and public health. She is currently the Head of the Evaluation and Prevention of Drug Use Service and an associate professor in the area of preventive medicine at the University of Valladolid. She has extensive experience in training courses and is a member of several research groups, including EVICT and UnicHos.

Ana Sánchez-Prieto

She completed her residency at the Virgen Macarena Hospital in Seville. She pursued a Master’s in Biostatistics applied to research and continued working in Madrid. She completed her training by attending various scientific courses and activities, and later obtained a degree in Expert in Voice and another Master’s. She has been a member of the Spanish Society of Otolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery since the beginning and is currently the President of the Smoking Prevention Committee where the “Put a Zero on Tobacco” campaign began.

Leonor Varela

She is a Professor of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Santiago, with extensive experience in research. She has led various research projects and published 47 scientific articles and 35 monographs, including one from the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. She is part of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology.

Diego Villalón

He is a social worker and co-founder of the NGO Fundación MÁS QUE IDEAS. He is a member of the National Committee for Smoking Prevention and Lung Cancer Europe. Since 2005, he has been involved in civil organizations, providing psychosocial support and designing educational actions for people affected by cancer. Since 2016, he has participated in numerous campaigns to raise awareness, activism, and training on tobacco control.
